New show about a gay teen airing this week
Two episodes will air the first night with another show sandwiched in the middle between episodes.

If ABC is smart they'll keep this. They programmed it properly between other great half hour sitcom comedies like The Goldbergs, Fresh Off The Boat, Modern Family. The Middle has been on for years. If that show isn't renewed next year, this might be a great show to fill the time slot. I can't believe the actor who plays the character of the 14 year old boy is really 21. I was curious if he was actually gay or not before reading the article and thought so but wasn't sure. He's really a good actor and so is the rest of the cast that compliments this show so nicely.

The show has good scripts and is funny and original. The combination of religion, acceptance of being gay after coming out, is much needed.

I hope this doesn't become one of those great shows that has a cancellation after a few episodes. Controversial topics like this show is seeing more and more spots on television. Will the ratings and an audience hold up for this? If it were NBC, I would be less optimistic. They cancel a lot of good shows like "About A Boy".
ABC on the other hand has put on a lot of great comedy programming recently. The network this is on seems to favor this will survive.
